Spring Valley Police Report for the week of 05/29/06
The Police Department has received complaints about drivers failing to stop for the Stop Signs at the intersection of Newman and Akers. This can be a dangerous intersection, as it has limited visibility to the North from some angles. Please be aware of the Stop Signs and enter the intersection with caution.
Reports
While on Patrol an Officer observed some suspicious activity in the area of the Golf Course on Red Fox Dr. Upon further investigation it was discovered that a party was going on and several underage persons were located who had been drinking. The Officer issued Citations to seven juveniles, and parents were contacted.
An Officer assisted the St. Croix County Sheriff's Department over the weekend in an attempt to locate a crime suspect scene in the area stemming from an incident in Eau Claire. The suspect and his vehicle were scene traveling on HWY 12. Ultimately the suspect was located by a Hammond Police Officer and arrested.
A Driver was cited for speeding on Hwy 29 by an Officer, the Officer also issued the driver a notice to repair a broken windshield.
Finally, the Police Department held its first open house on May 31st. We want to Thank everyone involved, especially the members of the Ambulance and Fire Departments. Several children stopped by and learned about Emergency Services and had a cookie. We hope to see you next year!
