Burning Restrictions

Burning within Village limits is governed by
Ordinance 38-82


Outdoor Fires are not allowed within the Village limits with the following exceptions:



Fires are allowed if the purpose of the fire is outdoor cooking and the fire is contained in a device designed for open flame cooking.




Fires are allowed for the purpose of burning leaves between April 1 and May 31, and October 1 to November 31, as long as the fire is monitored by a responsible adult until it is completely out, the weather allows for safe burning, leaves are burned off of public pavement or gutter, and the fire is 30ft from a neighboring residence.





Campfires are allowed as long as they are contained to a approved container, a fire ring, or a fire pit lined with rocks that is no larger than 4ft in diameter.






The following fire are allowed with written approval from the Fire Chief:

                                     Ceremonial Fires
                                     Controlled burns of Vegetation





Fires are never allowed on any street, curb, gutter, or sidewalk.
